360 the system
So much emphasis is placed on the efficiency of a system.
Most people focus on techniques—and proving that their techniques are better than someone else’s. Sometimes that difference is obvious. But techniques alone don’t determine whether a system works.
The training method matters more.
It must reflect the reality of who we teach:
  1. Most of our adult students are 35+.
  2. The average student trains twice per week.
  3. Their average fitness level is low to moderate.
A system has to work for real people, training under real conditions—not just for highly athletic instructors who train every day.
The question isn’t only, “Does this technique work?”
It’s also: “Can we teach it, retain it, pressure-test it, and make it usable for the average student?”
That is the difference between teaching techniques and teaching a system.
