Email from Etsy regarding use of AI
Any thoughts on the Etsy Important update email sent out about AI today? In particular "We’re updating our Listing Image Requirements policy. Your listings must include at least one unedited photo of the actual item against a real background.". will this affect those of us who use the Bulk Listing Tool? any information would be gratefully received. Many thanks.

@Suzie Pearson No it’s not, we are an approved Etsy lister! They know who we are and give us calls each month to do this :)

I’ve just seen the new Etsy email about using AI & needed one unedited photo against a real background. Will this effect us?

@Freddie S That will be people spamming crap with claude etc. We are an approved Etsy lister, they know who we are and give us calls to do what we do :)

Etsy AI email
Did anyone else just receive an email from Etsy about their changes to AI usage? Will be interesting to see what happens as they say listings now must include a real unedited image of the product in a real background so I wonder how that’ll affect everything and if mockups will get flagged. They say exceptions apply depending on what you sell. Slightly worrying but hopefully all will be fine…

This is to target people selling physical items who cheekily use an AI generated image instead of photos of the real thing. We are fine 😆 Wall Art is a HUGE market for Etsy - they would never jeopardise that market and of course understand people need to display their products in mock ups :)
