Yesterday I went to the library to learn about AI and walked out thinking about skills I learned decades ago.
That surprised me. I was exploring AI and 3D printing, and suddenly I found myself thinking about sewing, embroidery, fashion, and design. Skills I learned years ago. Skills I have not used in the same way for a long time. But they are still there. And now the tools around them are completely different. That made me think: Maybe learning something new doesn’t always mean leaving the old behind. Maybe the real opportunity is combining them. Old skills. New tools. Different possibilities. For those of us who love learning, this is exciting because it means we may already be carrying more value than we realize. What skill from your past could become useful again with today’s technology? ❤️ Create. Design. Build with intention. Live with purpose.

Something happened while practicing my Toastmasters speech that reminded me how confidence actually grows.
I read the speech to one of my mentors. I expected corrections. Instead, she loved it. She commented on my voice, the message, and how everything came together. Did that build my confidence? Absolutely. But I had to recognize something else: I couldn't receive that evidence until I took action. I had to write the speech. Practice it. And be willing to let someone hear it. That's why I'm thinking about confidence differently: Action → Experience → Evidence → Self-trust → Confidence We often wait to feel confident before doing something. Perhaps we have it backward. Do something small. Gather evidence. Learn. Do it again. I'm still nervous about speaking Thursday. But now I also have evidence telling me: You can do this. What could you do today that would give you new evidence about yourself? ❤️ Create. Design. Build with intention. Live with purpose.

Which one of these six would make the greatest difference for you if you deliberately strengthened it?
I love learning. But this morning I found myself asking: am I developing my tools faster than I'm developing the person using them? That brought me back to six mental faculties: 1️⃣Perception. 2️⃣Intuition. 3️⃣Reason. 4️⃣Will. 5️⃣ Memory. 6️⃣Imagination. We're surrounded by communities teaching platforms, AI, marketing, business, content, automation, and countless other skills. I'm grateful for them. But I've realized I also need periods when I stop adding another tool and work on the faculties directing all those tools. 🟢Can I focus? 🟢Can I reason? 🟢Can I trust my intuition? 🟢Can I change my perception? 🟢Can I remember evidence of what I've already accomplished? 🟢an I imagine something before someone else shows me how they did it? So that's my Monday question: Which one of these six would make the greatest difference for you if you deliberately strengthened it? I'm choosing fewer things and going deeper. I'd be interested to know which one you would choose. ❤️ Create. Design. Build with intention. Live with purpose.

Not everything that contributes to our growth contributes equally to our goals.
I caught myself asking a different question today. Not: What else should I learn? But: What do I need to stop learning for a while so I can actually finish what I’ve already started? That’s uncomfortable for someone who loves learning. I’ve gained tremendous value from the communities, people, technology, and training I’ve invested in over these past months. I’m grateful for all of it. But something can be valuable and still be a distraction from your current priority. That’s what I’m recognizing. So my Sunday reflection is very simple: What moved me forward? What distracted me? What am I grateful for? What deserves my attention next? No beating ourselves up. No regretting what we’ve learned. Just enough honesty to recognize when it’s time to stop adding and start finishing. For anyone else building several things at once: What are you choosing to finish before you add something else? ❤️ Create. Design. Build with intention. Live with purpose.

@Martha Lanham I'm pleased to know that you found value in my post. I am reminded that my primary goal is to get my books written and published. I enjoy learning and being inside the communities i have come to be a part of. However, at this time i must get back on track of my initial intention.
