@Ola O Hi Ola! Thanks so much... yeah, I prefer to do short videos, even in my Skool community, haha. I find it so much easier and quicker on my end! What kind of in-person event are you hoping to create?

One of the best ways to grow is to support each other on Skool. So let's do that 👇 ** 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗱𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝗸𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲...𝗻𝗼 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗲𝘁𝗰. Drop a comment with: 1. Your Skool community name + link 2. Who it's for (𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲) 3. What members get when they join Then scroll through and join 3 communities that genuinely interest you. Not to game the algorithm. Not for a follow back. Because you're actually curious and want to connect with people building cool things. Let's help each other get those wins 🙌

In January, I started The Copy Confidence Club but then I slowly realized that I really didn't want to be KNOWN for being a copywriter anymore... and so I changed the name (and mission) to reflect my mantra (and my podcast): The Do What You Want! Community. It's for solopreneurs who are tired of being pulled in a million different directions & strategies of how to run their business, and want to run it in a way that feels good in THEIR body (not someone else's!). When members join at the Free Level, they get access to: - The 5-Day Ultimate Email List-Building Challenge - Live access to monthly workshops & trainings about booking yourself solid, productivity without burning out, alternate ways to be visible beyond social media, and more - A community forum to ask questions on all things related to their website, emails, offers, and general copy At the Premium Tier (currently $9/mo), members get a bit more: - Access to the Fireweed Circle, a monthly online gathering for those in the messy middle of their business - Access to the replays of all the previous workshops - Monthly 5-minute audits/reviews on your website, email campaigns, sales page, etc. Join for free here. 🤗
Guest Experts in Communities
One idea I keep circling back to is bringing in guest experts in my community. I have a vision of it helping others build their communities and such, but part of me wants to lock these trainings behind the premium paywall in my community. Do you pay your guest experts or do you just do a referral to their communities/offers? I want to make this fair for everyone but stuck on how to best implement it.

I bring guest experts in once a month! I will poll my community to see what they are interested in and then bring experts in from there. They are usually people I already know in my network.
Free, Freemium, or Paid community??? That is the question...
Today, I listened to Evelyn Weiss' YouTube video about turning your free or freemium community into a paid one (link in comments). The argument was that it's easier to raise your MRR that way! But then I see a lot of folks with paid groups also have free, or freemium ones. Including Evelyn! What's your fave strategy? Free or paid community? And which do you see as more profitable?

@Addie Beall ah! Love that you mention the podcast community thing… I literally JUST switched my community to align more with my podcast and its mantra (“do what you want!”) and I wanted to go Paid to kind of treat it like a Patreon and because I put so much time and energy into it… but I also just like to provide things for free, too. It’s so hard to decide!
