𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱 ✨ 𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆'𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘁: 𝗱𝗿𝗮𝘄 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱. Whichever hand you never use. Anything will do, the teapot, the cat, your own foot. It will come out wobbly and a bit mad, and that is entirely the point. Nobody is good with their wrong hand, so there's nothing to be bad at today 💛 ✨ 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗯𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁? Do it again with your eyes closed as well, then compare the two. 👉 Also in the classroom here: ❤️ 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 👇 The whole page, a tiny piece of it, or just type "done" if you're not ready to show it ❤️ ❤️ All count. Whenever you get to it, morning, teatime or midnight.

I am really surprised of the result
Daily Page: Day 8
The challenge is done, but it isn't the last page 💛 So from today the group settles into its everyday rhythm, and it has a name. 🔥 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗗𝗔𝗜𝗟𝗬 𝗣𝗔𝗚𝗘 One post here every morning with a small idea in it, and you share in that same thread whenever you get to it. No streak, nobody counting, and you never have to use the prompt. It's just somewhere for the habit to live. 👉 𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆'𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘁: 𝗱𝗿𝗮𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴. 🔥 The kettle, 🔥 your glasses, 🔥 your phone, 🔥 the tap, 🔥 the dog's lead. Whatever your hand landed on first, before you'd really woken up. Five minutes is plenty. Start where you are, a notebook and a biro is absolutely fine. ✨ 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗯𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁? Draw it a second time without looking at your page at all. Eyes on the object the whole way. It'll come out wonky and that's the good bit. 𝗔 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗬𝗼𝘂'𝗱 𝗟𝗶𝗸𝗲 ✨ 𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆'𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘁: 𝗱𝗿𝗮𝘄 𝗮 𝗯𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲. Not this morning. A morning you'd like. 😍 The mug on a quiet table, the window with nothing to rush off to, the dog at the end of the bed, the sea if that's what you're after. This week we're back to the life you want, which is where all this started 💛 ✨ 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗯𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁? Put yourself in it somewhere, even if you're just a shape in a chair. 👉 Also in the classroom here: ❤️ 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 👇 The whole page, a tiny piece of it, or just type "done" if you're not ready to show it ❤️ ❤️ All count. This is what today’s prompt inspired me
A rainy afternoon of sneaky sketching ☔✏️
Hi lovely members 👋 Last weekend it was pouring in Manchester, so we ducked into Mackie Mayor, a big old market hall turned food hall. We got a corner table, ordered some nice food and a glass or two of wine, and spent a couple of hours drawing the people around us. 🍷 The best bit? My husband joined in. [ He won't let me show his drawings, though, sadly. Even though they were great ❤️ ] He has no background in drawing, but he has his own sketchbook now, and this is the second time we've gone off to a city together just to draw what we see. We both loved it. - - - - - ✏️ 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲-𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 People don't stay still, so you can't fuss over anything. You catch a pair of glasses or the curve of a shoulder, and move on. Nobody expects a finished portrait. My pages are a few little faces and one couple deep in conversation, with "Faces of Mackie Mayor" written underneath, and that page now holds the whole afternoon for me. 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘢 𝘤𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘕𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘑𝘢𝘪𝘯'𝘴 𝘣𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘔𝘢𝘬𝘦 (𝘚𝘯𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘺) 𝘈𝘳𝘵, 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘩 𝘪𝘴 𝘧𝘶𝘭𝘭 𝘰𝘧 𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘭𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘭𝘪𝘱 𝘥𝘳𝘢𝘸𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘳𝘺 𝘥𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘰𝘶𝘵. - - - - - ☕ 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝘀𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗮𝘆 A café, a library, a train station or a park bench all work. Find a seat with a view, take one pen and a small sketchbook, order something nice and settle in. Let people walk out of your drawings and just start the next one. 💛 Bring a partner or friend along if you like. They don't need to be "arty". Or go on your own and enjoy the quiet company of your sketchbook. - - - - - 💬 Where would you go for your sketching day, and who would you bring along, if anyone? Have you tried this before? Would you like to try it? Tell me in the comments, and share a page if you've tried it. I'd love to see it. 👇

Lovely place and sketches. I used to do that a few years ago ,+/-10 years ago … can’t believe it’s been that long! Mostly I was drawing dragons or other things. But sketching my surrounding, I never did. I will try it someday in a café with the perfect cup of coffee or chaï.
🎈 Friday Wins: What Went Well This Week?
Hello, lovely members! 🌤️ We've made it to Friday afternoon, and before the weekend sweeps us off, I'd love for us to stop for a moment and notice the good bits of the week together. - - - - - A win can be anything that made you smile or feel a little proud of yourself. ☀️ Maybe you opened your sketchbook and made a mark. ☀️ Maybe you finally sorted out that drawer, had a lovely walk, made the phone call you'd been putting off, or actually drank your tea while it was still hot. 🍵 ☀️ Art or not art, it all belongs here. - - - - - And here's my favorite part: when someone shares a win, let's cheer them on. A quick comment or a little heart can make someone's whole weekend. 🥳 💬 So tell me, what's something good that happened for you this week? Share it in the comments, and add a photo if you have one you'd like to show us. 👇

Got to clean my kitchen … now I feel better when I walk in that space. And got some drawings done and feeling good while doing them, without feeling guilty like I was wasting time doing them … that is a feeling I had long forgotten.
