Thanks to @Kimberly Morris I'm reviving an old book with a new Second Edition. My first book was created entirely from Canva Art (Pre AI). Below is the Before (front cover) and After (Back Cover). I'm going to show how to do this in my community on September 7th Community Instruction Day. And it will be published that day as well with a free ebook promotion! And of course a film to go with it! That's what I do! The key KDP distinction: → New edition with a new ISBN for the print book, with the edition information clearly identified. A major overhaul for a book that has substantial changes—new illustrations, redesigned pages, rewritten text, changed interior, etc.—the clean publishing approach is generally: a Second Edition. If you're taking an existing children's book and completely rebuilding the artwork/page design while keeping the basic story, that's much closer to a genuine Second Edition than merely uploading corrected files. → Existing book/listing remains the original edition with minor changes to text and a few images or corrections is generally a First Edtion. The important question is how substantial the changes are. Simply fixing a typo or making a minor correction generally doesn't justify creating an entirely new edition.
