🛍️ A little Temu haul unboxing!😬😆
I've been on Temu again (dangerous, I know), and I'd honestly forgotten half of what I ordered, so I opened it all up on camera for you. 😆 Inside there are dreamy wintery vellum papers ❄️, enchanted forest paper tapes 🍄, a few too many rolls of washi tape, little boxes to finally tidy up my cut-out printables 📦, and some metallic watercolors I can't wait to try ✨ Fair warning: never click "add more to your basket" after checkout. 😅 If you'd like the details on anything, just ask. I'll probably do a little demo once I've played with them. 💬 What's something you've bought just because it was too pretty to resist?

𝗔 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗬𝗼𝘂'𝗱 𝗟𝗶𝗸𝗲 ✨ 𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆'𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘁: 𝗱𝗿𝗮𝘄 𝗮 𝗯𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲. Not this morning. A morning you'd like. 😍 The mug on a quiet table, the window with nothing to rush off to, the dog at the end of the bed, the sea if that's what you're after. This week we're back to the life you want, which is where all this started 💛 ✨ 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗯𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁? Put yourself in it somewhere, even if you're just a shape in a chair. 👉 Also in the classroom here: ❤️ 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 👇 The whole page, a tiny piece of it, or just type "done" if you're not ready to show it ❤️ ❤️ All count. Whenever you get to it, morning, teatime or midnight.

@Mike VanLeuken What a beautiful memory! I love that you've captured that memory and brought it into the now with the morning coffees added. ❤️Absolutely perfect. Great work on this, Mike. Thank you for sharing it 🙏

@Sabine Hope yes - I am so surprised when I look back through my sketchbooks and find things i drew that have actually come into reality.!! I think when you draw things, it really focuses your mind on the visual of what you want, even more than cutting it out of a magazine. When you're actually creating it in your mind, it really helps. 😍

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱 ✨ 𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆'𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘁: 𝗱𝗿𝗮𝘄 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱. Whichever hand you never use. Anything will do, the teapot, the cat, your own foot. It will come out wobbly and a bit mad, and that is entirely the point. Nobody is good with their wrong hand, so there's nothing to be bad at today 💛 ✨ 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗯𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁? Do it again with your eyes closed as well, then compare the two.

@Lucie Corriveau This is great, lovely drawing and it is really interesting to try this, isn't it? It is really interesting to see how difficult it is for your brain to swap over. It is a really interesting exercise, and you've done a great job of it here with some complex organic shapes. Thanks for sharing this with us ❤️

@Sabine Hope Lol, it definitely does look like that in the drawing,😆 not in real life, I have to say. 🤣

The challenge is done, but it isn't the last page 💛 So from today the group settles into its everyday rhythm, and it has a name. 🔥 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗗𝗔𝗜𝗟𝗬 𝗣𝗔𝗚𝗘 One post here every morning with a small idea in it, and you share in that same thread whenever you get to it. No streak, nobody counting, and you never have to use the prompt. It's just somewhere for the habit to live. 👉 𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆'𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘁: 𝗱𝗿𝗮𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴. 🔥 The kettle, 🔥 your glasses, 🔥 your phone, 🔥 the tap, 🔥 the dog's lead. Whatever your hand landed on first, before you'd really woken up. Five minutes is plenty. Start where you are, a notebook and a biro is absolutely fine. ✨ 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗯𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁? Draw it a second time without looking at your page at all. Eyes on the object the whole way. It'll come out wonky and that's the good bit. 👉 Also in the classroom here: ❤️ 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 👇 The whole page, a tiny piece of it, or just type "done" if you're not ready to show it ❤️ ❤️ All count. @Lucie Corriveau Oh, gorgeous drawing! ❤️What a lovely portrait of this pair. You've done a great job with the different textures of them as well, from the rougher coat on Bianka to the smoothness of Biker ❤️. Really lovely work on this 🫶

𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 ✨ 𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆'𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘁: 𝗱𝗿𝗮𝘄 𝗮 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱, 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝘆. 𝗡𝗼 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼. A kitchen, a garden, a bit of a beach, your nan's front room, the shop on the corner where you grew up. Don't look anything up. Memory leaves out all the hard bits and keeps what mattered, which is why drawing from it is so much kinder than drawing from a photo. ✨ 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗯𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁? Write one line next to it about what you could hear or smell there. 👉 Also in the classroom here: ❤️ 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 👇 The whole page, a tiny piece of it, or just type "done" if you're not ready to show it ❤️ ❤️ All count. I so enjoyed drawing this. It was so vivid in my mind. It's my grandma's house when I was probably about 8 or 9. I think the place where I was most happy when I was a little kid. My mum and grandma would be in the room to the left, chatting away over a cup of tea. 😍Does anybody remember those tea dispensers from the 70s 😊 The weird thing I've noticed is that I've drawn this from the height of a adult, looking down onto the surfaces, whereas my memory is probably from when I was 8 or 9 years old at most. I just thought that was interesting, given how our minds keep visual memories and how we draw them. ❤️
