✨ Sunday Shift and Community Week of September 6
Happy Sunday shift day! 🌟 1) Depends where you are in the world. In Canada this is a big back to school moment. In the US you've been back a while already. Probably different again somewhere else. But whenever it lands for you, I find most people feel it. I know I do. 🌟 2) A big part of why you wanted to be in this community was for something to change. And I want to be blunt... if nothing changes, nothing changes. But I think we overestimate what change actually requires. I really believe a weekly check-in is the foundation of it. ✨ This week, you lead you. Show up even in a small way right now, just to build the courage. Because a community that supports each other rises together. We all learn from what's working and what's not. Each week I model a theme. If it resonates, take it. The reason I model it: I think sometimes you overthink what a focused goal is supposed to look like. Seeing a few versions makes it easier to pick your own. That's why we use the Good, Better, Best framework. We already plan for life to happen. Good is your hardest week version, and I mean it, if you wouldn't do it on your absolute hardest week ever, take it down a notch. Better is your average week. Best is your stretch goal when everything aligns. All the same flavor, just different levels. We're moving into the arc of friendship and community. We know from longevity research that this one is foundational. Stress, mental health, and just... having people. And in the identity you're trying to grow into, doing things with other people normalizes the thing. If you work out alone and you're consistent, there's nothing wrong with that. But if you're not consistent and you're struggling, you might be more consistent in a group. A walking group. A hiking group. A dance group. It turns the thing into something that fills your bucket in a few ways at once. The more you stack that, the more your health goals just become part of your life. And that's when you show up consistently. Which is the whole game.

PMOS Lab Tracker Comin' Soon Preview
Hey, I just wanted to pop in. I am kind of super excited about the PMOS lab tracker that I've been working on, which is going to be the level two bonus unlock. But I just thought I would check in. I'm planning on releasing this on Friday and doing the finishing touches. Essentially, I just wanted your input. Is there anything here that could make this better? Because now's the chance for me to see if I can implement those changes and if they make sense. But essentially, a little welcome tab, then we've got our data tab. Here is where, because I know we're servicing worldwide, you can put your lab units here or just leave it blank. Then you can put your lab references low and high so that this works universally. Then we have dates here, so you enter your lab date and then you would fill out which labs. Okay, and then we have different views, so we can kind of see your metabolic panel, energy, hormonal, and then a little lab guy to kind of explain it all. So I'm pretty excited because I really think that sometimes we need to see trends and directions. It's not just about waiting until we cross the diagnostic line. I think we can get a little bit curious, and I can give us a little bit of information about the changes that we're making, if they are leaning us towards better metabolic health or not. So there's a lot of hints along the way, and no one should be surprised by type 2 diabetes, at least not most people. There is a rare form that's autoimmune, and that can be a bit rapid. I'm not talking about you if you follow that boat, but for the general metabolic one, we usually kind of see this coming a long time. So anyhow, what are your thoughts?

I think the biggest thing for me is to see the trends, so that's great that it's in there!
Halfway. 🎯 Episode 4 PMOS Lab Clarity
Episode 4 is the one that fills in the half of the picture that is critical in a proper diagnosis. There are four mandatory labs that should be done before anyone calls it PMOS (formely PCOS). Two of them get missed more often than the others. This episode names them and tells you what to do if you're not sure they were ever run. It's a short one. Worth every minute. https://shiftpmos.com/lab-clarity-ep4 Comment under Episode 4 and you're more than halfway to your Lab Tracker. 💛

Never had my Prolactin or 17-OHP tested 👀 Might have to bring that up for when I get my next round of labs.
Day 2 of the Lab Clarity Challenge 🧪
Episode 2 is up and this one answers something I hear constantly... "My labs came back normal. So I don't have it?" Spoiler: normal labs do not rule out PMOS (formely called PCOS). And two people with the exact same diagnosis can look completely different on paper. This episode explains why. Watch it, drop a comment, earn your point. https://shiftpmos.com/lab-clarity-ep2 We're moving people to Level 2 this week. Don't let it be without you. 💛

Dr: "Good news! Everything came back normal!" Me: Then why do I feel this way... 🫠 I appreciate what you said about not worrying so much about reversing it but dimming it instead. I think I've gotten discouraged about not being able to reverse it. Dimming it feels more manageable, I'm just really tired of the hair on my face 🙈
Lab clarity episode 3 ✨️✨️
Day 3. Still going? Good. 🙌 Episode 3 is one I think a lot of you are going to want to send to someone. It covers how PMOS is actually diagnosed the real criteria, not the "one ultrasound and you're done" version. Including the part about the pill that almost nobody explains. If you've ever wondered whether your diagnosis was done properly... this one's for you. Watch + comment to keep your streak alive 👇 https://shiftpmos.com/lab-clarity-ep3 Level 2 is three episodes away. 💛 https://www.skool.com/shift-society/classroom/37c179af?md=4640e42c37f041cda7be5ff0c1a27a2d

I was definitely prematurely diagnosed at 16 from an ultrasound, but don't think I met the full criteria for another 16 years 😅
