NEW FOUNDATIONS IS HERE. Rebuilt it all, then I cut my price 60%.
I started this community in March. For months I've been reading your questions. Where do I start? What's a skill? How do I get this working on my own files? What even is an agent? So I rebuilt Foundations to answer all of it, in 11 new lessons full animated, voiced and structured to answer as many as I could. They are not just AI slop either, I spent Hours on every video, every concept.I deleted and redid lessons over and over until they finally worked, and what you see is what survived. I have been adding and spending hours upon hours adding more resources and working with others to provide value here since March. And I want to keep doing that. Now usually course creators lock up their entire community behind a pay wall at this point...I thought about it honestly. We would probably make more money if I put more behind a paywall. However, decided not only am I going to keep it free, but I'm also lowering my prices for premium as well. From $27 to $11 a month, everyone told me was a bad idea, that it was too low of a price for the hours we are putting in but I have faith in one thing, YOU. Its only a bad idea if people don't support, work together and make this worth it. I want to make info more accessible. This community has let me hire people, pay people, and build things I never could have built alone. I've got a team whose families count on this company, and a baby on the way, so I've been thinking hard about how this place keeps growing. More free lessons, more of my time, more people to help run it. I pay the instructors in my live programs $150 an hour, our mods are working hard and were working for free before I started paying and every free video here takes me hours to make. If enough of you chip in a little, all of that keeps going for everyone. So that's the ask. $11 a month, about 37 cents a day.

Foundations tutor v3 is LIVE https://www.skool.com/cliefnotes/foundations-tutor-update?p=a9e8d2f9
📖 Foundations Tutor Update!
👋 For those of you who have been around, you may have seen my tutor for the foundations class here in Clief Notes. https://www.skool.com/cliefnotes/a-foundations-tutor-for-those-who-need-more?p=b5403a30 🎁 @Jake Van Clief just pushed an update to the class itself so I taught the new content to the tutor. V3 is now live for everyone to test and see how it handles the new content. https://github.com/donroy26/ICM-Foundations-Tutor 🧠 What this is: the foundations course walks you through learning to use an agent like Claude code step by step but what happens when something doesn’t click or you have a question? That’s where the tutor comes in. Open it in Claude code and it will help you every step of the way and answer questions you have as you go. There’s also a video game simulating the lessons if you prefer that to start. ⭐️ The repo has 100 stars now. The original post has over 100 likes. I’ve received so many messages from the community that this has helped folks who are stuck. That’s what this stuff is all about. This tutor is an ICM workflow. It’s removing friction and solving a problem that many of you have, using Jake’s content as the source of truth. Go out and do the same.

Here’s my FREE 100% local meeting transcriber app
After I posted this presentation I gave the other day: https://www.skool.com/cliefnotes/video-how-im-implementing-ai-today-in-a-real-automation-manufacturer?p=15f23ac4 some of you have asked me how I transcribe my meetings locally instead of giving my convos to a third party. The tool is actually on GitHub completely free right now at https://github.com/donroy26/meeting-transcriber You install the app and download a local whisper model then set a hot key and a destination and you’re all set to go. Pressing the hot key opens the recorder which opens a monitor and a small dialogue box where you can jot down thoughts during your meeting. Everything is kept 100% on your pc and then you can decide what to do with your transcript after.

@Arne-Per Heurberg you could probably have your ai model of choice swap to any local transcription model that you can fit on your device. Performance may just start to decline depending on what you go with.
Synthetic Voice Poll
If you opened this post, you might already have a very strong opinion about it. Let's be honest, it is practically every where (and I know I resort to it often). I was going to write a different post all together, when it occurred to me that it sure serves a section of humanity who has lost their voice, and who want to put content out. I wrote an opinion about it - https://thequietai.com/writing/say-whats-synthetic.html Though a poll is far more fun -

Definitely has its uses. I think it all depends on the brand you are trying to create. If you want faceless or your brand supports a non real aesthetic it can totally work. For voiceovers it can work, for fixing bad audio or correcting errors it can work. Like anything, it’s a new technology and it will have its place among everything else. But if your goal is to create a personal brand that folks attach to you as a real person nothing will be reality.
01 - How I started
So, starting completely from scratch... The first thing I did was actually not build anything. 😄 I looked around. I started with the Classroom, specifically Getting Started and the first lessons of The Foundation. If you are completely new here, go and do that. It’s time well spent. Then if you want come back here. When I approached Module 4 in The Foundation I had a few questions. Mind you, at the time it was not as nicely organised as it is now. It has improved enormously. Thank you @Jake Van Clief Anyway, the questions appearing in my head went something like this: How do I pick the right folders? Where do these .md files come from? Do I write them? How would I know they have everything inside them that my project needs? What even is my project? Can I have multiple CLAUDE.md or AGENTS.mdfiles? Where is my real folder root? Do I have multiple projects in the same folder? Can I add more stuff later?... Sound familiar? 😄 In the end, it all boiled down to one question: How are people actually doing this? 🔎 So I stopped the Classroom for a while and the search bar became my best friend. The more I searched and the more I looked around, I slowly but surely figured something out: There seems to be more than one way of building an ICM. Some members loaded Jake’s & David's ICM material/research paper into their LLM of choice and built from there. Other members started with the icm-architect skill. Others did a combination of both. And yet another group used the icm-architect together with something called the Workspace Blueprint. The bottom line for me was: ❗Many roads lead to Rome. Pick one. ❗ While combing through the group with my best pal, the search bar, I also came across some really interesting videos and posts which helped clear things up for me. Some were easy to find. Others were hidden away somewhere in the dusty abyss of the Skool community posts. 😄 In hindsight, I think searching around for a while was actually very useful. It helped me connect the dots and, more importantly, stopped me from immediately jumping into building something without really knowing what I wanted.
