I got rejected from 80 tech roles.
Then I became the recruiter reading the resumes. Here is what happened in between. I had a microbiology degree and no idea how hiring actually worked. I applied. I got rejected. I applied again. Eighty times. I thought I was unqualified. I was not. I was invisible. Then someone sat me down and showed me three things. Rewrite the resume for the role you want. Not the one you had. Talk to the people who actually touch the hire. Not the job board. In the interview, answer the question they are asking. Not the one you rehearsed. That was it. Three changes. The next offer came. Years later I was recruiting at Uber, Google, and YouTube. Same resumes. My side of the table. And most of the people I passed on were not unqualified. They were saying the wrong things to the wrong people in the wrong order. Nobody teaches you this. Someone had to teach me. Tell me which of the three you are stuck on. I will tell you what to fix first.

Some people don’t give themselves enough credit.
@Megan Wong was one of them. When she first joined the Academy, she told me: “I don’t know what to post.” “I’m scared of saying the wrong thing.” “What if no one cares?” Totally normal. Totally relatable. And honestly — exactly where most people start. But here’s the part I want to praise: Megan showed up anyway. She posted even when it felt uncomfortable. She engaged with people even when she wasn’t sure what to say. She shared her story even when her voice shook a little. And now? After a couple months of consistent posting and thoughtful engagement… She gained almost 400 new followers (95% growth) this week alone! → Her content is resonating. → Her inbox is thriving. → Her confidence is growing. → Her brand is taking off 🚀 Not because she had the perfect strategy. Not because she went viral. But because she kept showing up long enough to find her voice. That’s the part people underestimate: It’s not talent. It’s not luck. It’s consistency + courage. And Megan embodies both. If you’re reading this and you’ve been scared to start posting — take this as your sign. Your first posts don’t need to be perfect. You just need to begin. And if you want support while you build your brand, gain clients, or land opportunities…let's chat. P.S. Please send her a DM to congratulate her when you get the chance! 🙌

I didn’t build a personal brand to become a creator.
I built one to stop getting ignored. Eight years ago, I was sending out resumes and hearing nothing back. No interviews. No callbacks. Just silence. So I started posting on LinkedIn. Not to go viral — but to tell my story, share value, and stand out. That small decision changed everything. 👉 I landed job offers from top tech companies like Google & Uber 👉 I built a 6-figure digital business and community from my laptop. 👉 I started attracting recruiters, companies, and clients Same skillset. Different positioning. That’s when it clicked: Your brand is career insurance. It works when you’re job hunting. It works when you’re launching something of your own. The difference? One version gets you hired. The other version makes you unforgettable. Now I help job seekers and creators do the same inside MPH Tech Academy. You don’t need thousands of followers. You just need the right story — and the right strategy. P.S. Thank you for everyone that has supported me in this journey thus far. If you want to build your brand so you can land offers, attract clients, or launch your

AI tools to crack your next job in this layoff market 🚀
📉 The market is rough: • 86,000 U.S. jobs cut in Aug ’25 • Microsoft: 15,000 this year (6k in May, 9k in July) • 61,000+ tech roles gone across 130+ companies (Google, Amazon, IBM…) • PwC UK trimmed grad intake ~1,500 → ~1,300 Tough? Yes. Hopeless? Not if you use AI wisely. Here are battle-tested tools my students use 👇 💻 Job Search • ChatGPT / Copilot → rewrite resumes, prep interviews • Levels.fyi → salary benchmarks (US/UK) • ContactOut → tailored recruiter outreach • Fireflies → auto-transcribe practice sessions 🤝 LinkedIn • Crystal → personality insights for warmer outreach • Writi.io → AI-assisted connection messages • PFP Maker & Canva → standout profile visuals 🎤 Interviews • Yoodli → Mock interviews with AI • Metaview / Fireflies → record + analyze mocks • Poised → real-time speaking feedback • Perplexity → rapid company research Reality check 👉 Tools ≠ offers. You still need positioning, visibility, and proof you’re the candidate recruiters can’t ignore. 💡 Proof: Chelcea joined MPH Tech Academy as a server. We coached resume strategy, role alignment, and confidence. She landed at Instacart as a Recruiting Coordinator… and later at Meta.
