Lesson 2- etude 2.3
https://youtu.be/tvzkBzZvJdM Hello all, here is chord progression #2: II-V-I-VI (in C major) slowed down to 80% speed. In posture news, I tried turning the guitar support pillow on its side to make it taller & so far this feels pretty good. I can keep both feet on the floor instead of having a crossed leg. Mine is the smaller 4 inch, so I've ordered the larger 5.5 inch support to try. I want to say that I really do appreciate those of you who have shown concern and offered advice on my wrist/posture situation.

@Mentor Kyle Bradley thank you Mentor Kyle! I’m learning how there is much to tweak in terms of physical adjustments. Ideally, I’d like to not flex that right wrist so much, but in concentrating on the left hand, I forget the right-and the right likes to flex because it can. Too much of that and I will get a RSS. So it’s definitely something I’m paying attention to. True story: long before it occurred to me to learn jazz guitar, I did have a super brief brush with fame with Pat Metheny in 1990-ish at a performing arts center on a summer day. He was exiting maybe for lunch from rehearsal and I was entering as I had an internship there. I did not see him until he was directly in front of me as the doors were tinted dark. So it was like:surprise! He was smiling his wild Pat Metheny smile and held the door for me. I think it must’ve been then that he transferred his picking method to me. Haha 😀

@Mentor Bob Kinney The story- I was on cloud 9 for a long time after that. And on tension- that is so so true. It is and has been my lifelong aspiration to minimize tension in the body.

Come Thou Fount - entire CM
This is an original arrangement by Nathan Corr of a famous hymn that you may recognize. I’ve been working on this in bits and pieces for about 3 months. To be honest, it is a bit out of my reach as an intermediate player, but I’m determined to eventually master this beast! This is my first attempt to put it all together in a recording. My goal here is to get it to the point where it can be published and shared (free) with accompanying sheet music and soundslice. Ultimately I would love to have about 10 pieces arranged and recorded. So it’s a stretch goal. Anyway, here it is so far… I feel that it’s about 70 percent there and will likely take another 3 months to master. Definitely the hardest thing I’ve ever attempted.
