I have been an avid reader my whole life and was blessed with a very intelligent and curious mother who gave all of her children the gift of knowing HOW to learn and a deep curiosity in all things. The one difficulty I have had most of my life as a result is not understanding that not everyone one shares that same desire or that level of knowledge..... from there I have gone through many stages of judgement, diminishing others, diminishing myself, anger, self-importance, hubris, solitude, "fuck them if they don't get it," self-serving pity for the "muggles" etc...... with age and experience I can now (mostly), view others as myself and do my best to provide a platform for people to explore...... It's much easier now...... and I caution people not to conflate curiosity with confusion or incompetence.......
