$1200 to $53k a month in just a few years - and a $50k down payment. A few years ago, I was charging $1,200/month for coaching. And honestly? I thought that was a lot of money. I didn’t even fully believe people would pay it… until a client told me I should be charging that. One year ago, I made a decision: I was no longer going to think of my work as “coaching individuals.” (Some of you remember Ben telling me in Austin in May 2024, to stop doing it) I was going to start helping organizations build better leaders, better cultures, and better systems for growth. That shift changed everything. Because I started asking a different question: What is the monetary value of one or more truly great leaders inside an organization? Not theoretically. Actually. What is it worth when leaders stop avoiding difficult conversations? What is it worth when every employee has a real plan? What is it worth when bad news travels vertically instead of horizontally? What is it worth when people stop trying to be right and start trying to get it right? That became the foundation of my work. I created something I call The Friction Triangle. It teaches leaders the difference between being kind and being nice. Nice is comfortable. Kind is clear. Nice helps both people escape the difficult conversation in the name of comfort. Kind tells the truth and builds trust. That became conflict navigation. Then I started diagnosing cultures through a simple question: “How does bad news travel in your organization?” Does it travel horizontally, through gossip, side conversations, and quiet frustration? Or does it travel vertically, to the people who can actually solve the problem? Organizations that want bad news to travel vertically are organizations that are serious about psychological safety. Then I saw another pattern. A lot of leaders have egos that require them to be right. But great cultures are built by leaders who care more about getting it right. That became ownership and accountability.

First off Congratulations, Clegg you are the man! @Michael Clegg - Ive been dealing with some stress with my coaching business this summer, and I have had to focus more on my clients, then I have on actually growing myself and mindset, so I've been skipping the weekly Friday call. (Which is a terrible excuse) Decided to finally hop on Skool and take a look at what has been going on, and then I read this... Did you write this for me? Everything above is literally what I have been struggling with. It really resonated with me about the individual coaching versus helping organizations build better leaders, better cultures, and better systems for growth. I got to change my framing. Thanks for the testimony of your journey it was really inspiring.
Getting Started with Claude
I'm looking to move from ChatGPT to claude. Does anyone have a recommendation or a resource guide on how to make this move? I'm also looking to get Claude set up with a good foundation. It seems like there is some required steps to get it to work well.

I am a fan of Claude Code and the Cowork features. Definitely like how it automatically reads all my daily emails, and sends me an TLDR report so I know which one I actually care about. The excel and powerpoint plug ind are a game changer for me
To Do List Ideas
Per the meeting today, everyone was talking about little ways they organize themselves for wither a week or daily. Here is the simple prompt I do on Friday on Sunday to prep me for next week. 1️⃣ Define Your Top 3 Outcomes (Results, Not Tasks) “Based on my current goals, what are the three outcomes that would make this week a win?” Then lock them in: - Outcome 1: - Outcome 2: - Outcome 3: Each outcome should be observable by Friday. 2️⃣ Define Your Top 5 Tasks (Actions You Control) “What are the five actions most likely to produce those outcomes this week?” Then write: - Task 1: - Task 2: - Task 3: - Task 4: - Task 5: If a task doesn’t directly support a top outcome, delete it.

Clown - Humility
Thanks for the support and allowing me to share my big client mistake. Which was accidently sending an internal email to my client's customers. Thanks for all the feedback, and turning that negative, into a positive, and how it relates to this month's Antifragile @Wendi Bergin! I was sharing with my team members to let them know I make just as many mistakes as they do, that I am human too. And I too can make a clown out of myself. Here was the picture I used to get a laugh out of them. Thanks again for the feedback and support!

How quick would you fail?
What if I told you, you are only 30 fails away from your dream life. 30 epic, embarrassing fails…but then…you will have achieved your “dream” life!! How quickly would you get through those fails? Keep. Going. 🙏🏼

I would like to balance failing fast with learning. If I am learning from those epic failures, sign me up for immediate action. My past self would have debated too long before taking action. Let's fail fast.
