Who Are You and Why Does This Matter? We have been saying that we want to understand the businesses and owners inside Business Lab better. Tomorrow, we start putting that into practice. We are kicking off a new Thursday series called Inside the Business. Each week, one featured owner will get five minutes to tell us who they are, who they help, what they want people to understand about their work, and one lesson or idea they are comfortable sharing. Then we will slow down and actually listen. We will ask better questions, reflect back what we heard, and look for useful connections or resources. We are not throwing another random service at somebody and hoping it fits. We want to understand the person, the business, and what would genuinely be useful. There is also a practical content piece built into the session. We will take one approved moment from the spotlight and turn it into a short, social-ready video cut while teaching the room one desktop editing skill. This week, we are working on the three-second hook and razor cuts. We will show how to remove dead air, tighten the opening, and get to the point without editing the human out of the message. The featured owner leaves with a clearer introduction and one useful video cut. The rest of us learn who is in the room and how to improve our own content using a real example instead of another generic tutorial. This one feels a little full-circle. 🔥 For the last eight weeks, we’ve been building this automation series together inside Business Lab. We tested tools. Broke things. Fixed things. Asked better questions. Figured out what was actually useful and what was just extra noise. And somewhere along the way, this stopped feeling like “just a Zoom series.” It started feeling like something we could turn into a real course for business owners who want to understand automation without being handed another tool and told, “good luck.” Tonight we’re wrapping the series by talking about what worked, what didn’t, what we learned, and what we want to build next.
