If you have done day 16's daily page ✨ Did you notice how many of today's scribbles turned into faces? Mine did too. So I did a bit of research into this, and it's really interesting. 😍 About 500 years ago, Leonardo da Vinci wrote in his notebook that 𝗶𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗰𝗸, 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗹. You'll find landscapes, battles, figures and "strange faces" in it. He said it was like hearing words in the jangle of bells. 🔔 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘁 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝗺 𝘁𝗼𝗼. Researchers looking at two caves in northern Spain found that more than half of the animals were drawn around bumps, edges and cracks already in the rock. 😱 𝙎𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙗𝙤𝙙𝙮 𝙨𝙖𝙬 𝙖 𝙝𝙤𝙧𝙨𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙖𝙡𝙡, 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙖𝙙𝙙𝙚𝙙 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙚𝙣𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨 𝙨𝙤 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙚𝙡𝙨𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙨𝙚𝙚 𝙞𝙩 𝙩𝙤𝙤. Which is exactly what you did this morning with a pen and a scribble. 🖊️ So if it felt like cheating, it isn't. People have been finding pictures this way for tens of thousands of years. What turned up in yours, a face, an animal, something else? 👉 𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆'𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘁: 𝗗𝗿𝗮𝘄 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱... ie - A key, - a coin, - a hairgrip, - a button, - a conker, - a pebble off a windowsill. Pick it up, have a proper look at it, put it on the page. Small things are the easiest place to start, because there's less of it to get wrong. ✨ 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗯𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁? Draw it three times on the same page, turning it a little each time, so you see it from three sides. 👉 Also in the classroom here: ❤️ 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 👇 The whole page, a tiny piece of it, or just type "done" if you're not ready to show it ❤️ ❤️ All count. Whenever you get to it, morning, teatime or midnight.😍

The challenge is done, but it isn't the last page 💛 So from today the group settles into its everyday rhythm, and it has a name. 🔥 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗗𝗔𝗜𝗟𝗬 𝗣𝗔𝗚𝗘 One post here every morning with a small idea in it, and you share in that same thread whenever you get to it. No streak, nobody counting, and you never have to use the prompt. It's just somewhere for the habit to live. 👉 𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆'𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘁: 𝗱𝗿𝗮𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴. 🔥 The kettle, 🔥 your glasses, 🔥 your phone, 🔥 the tap, 🔥 the dog's lead. Whatever your hand landed on first, before you'd really woken up. Five minutes is plenty. Start where you are, a notebook and a biro is absolutely fine. ✨ 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗯𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁? Draw it a second time without looking at your page at all. Eyes on the object the whole way. It'll come out wonky and that's the good bit. 👉 Also in the classroom here: ❤️ 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 👇 The whole page, a tiny piece of it, or just type "done" if you're not ready to show it ❤️ ❤️ All count.
