An Important Community Update
Hey everyone, I want to share an important change we’re making inside the community. Moving forward, we’re going to position this as a men’s space. The data, conversations, and overall engagement have shown us that this community has more clarity when we focus specifically on helping men get out of survival mode, build discipline, strengthen their identity, and show up better for themselves and their families. To the ladies who are already here, this does not mean you have to leave. You are still welcome in this space. Thank you for being here and growing with us. Your energy, perspective, and support have been needed, and they have played an important role in helping this community become what it is today. This change is not about pushing anyone away. It is about giving the community a clearer identity so we can create more focused conversations, resources, and support around the challenges men are facing. We appreciate everyone who has been part of the journey so far, and we’re excited about where the community is going next.

I completely understand and respect your move here. My husband was listening in Tuesday night and wanted to ask if he could join calls. Would it be possible to switch my account over to him or should we just close mine and have him sign up? Keeping the mindset momentum is very important for us. Thank you for everything!

@Devin Linder okay perfect! We will get it switched over to him and then he can do an introduction. I told him to still tell me the daily building blocks. 🫣 They were helping me so much.

I actually broke a habit or old behavior today. Normally I would make it soooo difficult to schedule an appt on a day I work my part time job. I got a very last minute reply from someone and I was annoyed by it at first. In the past I would have let this derail my mood and just make it so much harder than it had to be. And then end up scheduling them on my designated day off and be even more annoyed. 🤪 So today I just decided to NOT make it that difficult. I am taking the last minute appointment during my work hours and then I can still have my evening and my day off. 💪🏼 Hope that made sense.
The path is clearer than ever
Hello everyone, I want to share a quick personal story, and that becoming who you can and want to be doesn’t have to be a puzzle. This year, for the first time, I see a clear way out of my bad habit of scrolling endlessly. By the way, thank you, Devin. I often stopped scrolling after seeing one of your reels! For the last 8 years, video games and social media were the perfect escape. They gave me a break from the constant inner voice expecting inhumane perfection from me. And since losing time on video games was far from perfection, the voice got louder and grew my need for an escape, creating a vicious circle. But at that point, I had no understanding of the mechanisms inside me. I just blamed myself more for not being able to follow through on the promises I made to myself daily. For the last 8 years now, I’ve been trying new methods, creating plans, and setting weekly goals to stop falling back on easy dopamine. And I was still never managing to succeed for more than a few days. This built inside me a strong inner belief of being someone who doesn’t respect the promises he makes to himself + who has no discipline. Ouch… not easy, because now it felt like there were so many layers maintaining this reality. But this year, I understood that it really doesn’t have to be a puzzle. Nor an excruciating run of discipline and sheer will. Because I understood that you act according to the person you subconsciously believe you are. The identity you wear. It tints every decision, every word chosen, every thought you have. And so… shifting this identity is all that matters. Switch to an identity of someone who has all those things and more, and everything will fall into place. So before, I needed to attack the problem from every angle: general discipline, working on self-love and calming that inner voice, the inner beliefs that keep me in this cycle, etc. AHHHHHH Now I only need to do one thing: work on shifting my identity to someone who has all those things naturally. Ok, this doesn’t resolve the how, but it feels much more manageable.

This was so amazing to read. Great acknowledgment!
My 3 habits I am committing to
1. I am going to continue the wake up routine. Cold water on the face, some breath work and setting the intention for myself. I also included gratitude in this as well. 2. Focus is a challenge for me so along with my existing use of Google Calendar I am going to set aside 25-45 minute blocks of time to focus on tasks in my To-Do list every day. 3. I walk for an hour almost every day so the second half of my walk I will have no “inputs”. I can’t work or make content or answer messages during that last 30 minutes. So I will actually focus on my own mind and thoughts during that time. I hope I did this right. 🤪 I am a little behind the 7 Days. Focusing on priorities and my self development has been a challenge for me these days but I am not going to give up and I am here to push past the “all or nothing” mindset loop I am trying to get out of.

I actually got to the gym today since I didn’t yesterday. Haven’t had my walk but I am working on prioritizing computer work I need to get done too and that takes priority today over the walking! 💪🏼💪🏼
