For adults who watch anime and keep landing in the same fight, the same quit, the same pattern — and are tired of watching themselves do it.
The premise: a character you react hard to is showing you your own filter, not their story. That reaction is data.
We use it.
I'm Ivan. Psychologist. 9 years in Japan. 18 years in
Japanese martial arts.
live in Japan, I moved here chasing a childhood dream and stayed.
What happens here:
ー One 48-hour challenge a week — catch one pattern, report what you saw. Even if what you saw was you avoiding it. That's still data.
ー Character mirrors — scenes from shows I've actually watched, used as lenses on adult life
ー Body-first practices — 2 to 5 minutes, 18 years of martial arts and years bodywork behind them
ー Honest replies. "Same fight for two years and I'm tired" gets met straight, not with advice.
What this isn't: anime analysis, a fan club, or therapy.
Five rules. Post in 👋 Intros — I answer every one.
