🚨 NEW FRAGRANCE RELEASE ALERT! / DOVE IS RELEASING ITS FIRST-EVER PERFUME!
DOVE ORIGINAL FRAGRANCE - THE ICONIC BEAUTY BAR SCENT IN A BOTTLE! The Dove Original Fragrance is officially categorized as a unisex release, designed to be worn by both women and men. While Dove's core skincare line is often associated with women's personal care, the scent profile of the original white Beauty Bar has always been a universally shared household aroma. The brand and perfumer Ann Gottlieb intentionally framed this Eau de Parfum as a gender-neutral, "clean-skin scent". The Scent Profile Breakdown Instead of leaning into traditional masculine or feminine fragrance families (like deep woods or heavy sweets), the perfume relies entirely on neutral, fresh accords meant to mimic freshly washed skin: - The Vibe: Airy, soapy, creamy, and comforting. - The Function: It is built to be a simple everyday scent, and Gottlieb has specifically noted that it can be worn entirely on its own or layered with other fragrances to inject an instant boost of clean freshness to your existing signature cologne or perfume. If you've ever wished you could wear the familiar, clean, freshly showered scent of the original Dove Beauty Bar, Dove has finally made it happen! After years of customers requesting the scent in perfume form, Dove officially announced its first fine fragrance on October 22, 2026. The fragrance was developed with legendary fragrance developer Ann Gottlieb, known for her involvement in iconic fragrances including Calvin Klein CK One, Dior J'adore, and Marc Jacobs Daisy. 🌸 WHAT DOES IT SMELL LIKE? The fragrance is designed to capture the recognizable scent of the original Dove Beauty Bar. Expect a soft, clean, creamy, slightly floral, and comforting fragrance reminiscent of stepping out of the shower. Dove has not released a traditional top, heart, and base note pyramid, so these are scent descriptions rather than confirmed individual raw materials. 💰 PRICE & RELEASE DATE - Fragrance: Dove Original Fragrance - Concentration: Eau de Parfum - Price: $19.57 - Release Date: Tuesday, October 27, 2026 - Release Time: 9:00 AM Arizona/Pacific Time (12:00 PM Eastern) - Availability: Online only, limited quantities

FRAGRANCE INFLUENCERS, CLONE HOUSES & THE COST OF COMPARISON
Independent Reviews or Marketing in Disguise? There has been quite a bit of controversy lately surrounding fragrance influencers, clone houses, and accounts reportedly being shut down over comparisons between imitation fragrances and expensive designer or niche originals. The recent discussions involving Nobilis Group and fragrance influencers have brought up a much bigger question for me. Are we watching independent fragrance reviews, or are we sometimes watching advertising disguised as honest opinions? Let me explain where I'm coming from. Why Not Review the Clone on Its Own Merits? I've never understood why every clone fragrance has to be compared directly to the original. Why can't a reviewer simply evaluate the fragrance for what it is? Talk about the opening, the blending, the quality of the composition, the development, the longevity, the projection, and the sillage. Does it smell good? Is it well constructed? Does it perform? Is it worth the asking price? Those are legitimate questions that can be answered without constantly attaching another fragrance house's name to the product. If an imitation fragrance is truly that good, shouldn't it be able to stand on its own? The Influencer Marketing Connection Here's where things get interesting. There have been plenty of discussions and reports about clone houses sending influencers free bottles, offering affiliate commissions, and paying for promotional content. Providing complimentary fragrances isn't inherently wrong, nor is earning money through sponsorships. But these arrangements create potential conflicts of interest. Think about how effective this marketing strategy can be. A company produces a $40 imitation of a $350 niche fragrance. Instead of spending heavily on traditional advertising, it sends bottles to influencers who compare the imitation directly with the original. Suddenly, we're hearing statements like: - "It's 95% identical to the original!" - "Why spend $350 when you can spend $40?" - "This actually performs better than the original!" - "You're just paying for the name!"
