IMPORTANT
Hey everyone!
I have two questions about Reels content creation, mainly focused on getting attention and reaching new audiences.
1. Where do you draw the line between inspiration and copying?
I see a lot of creators using the exact same music, text, and concept, with the only difference being their own footage. The same goes for trending formats, where hundreds of creators essentially make the same video.
How acceptable and effective do you think this strategy is when the main goal is to generate attention and reach? Where would you draw the line?
2. How many times can you reuse the same footage?
Let’s say I film a cinematic running scene. Would it make sense to use that exact same footage in 3–5 different Reels, but with different music, text, and messages?
At what point does reusing footage become repetitive or potentially hurt your reach?
For context: My main goal with these Reels is to attract new audiences, and I wouldn’t necessarily display them on my main profile grid. I’m willing to lower the production standards a little for this type of content, but I still want to maintain the credibility and image of my personal brand.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on this!
