Rest is not always the end of something.
Sometimes it is the space where the old script stops running.
Not every pause is avoidance.
Not every still moment is stagnation.
Sometimes rest interrupts the loop long enough for us to notice:
I don't have to respond the way I used to.
We can stop rehearsing what no longer fits.
We can let old weight settle.
We can hear ourselves without the old story speaking over us.
And when movement returns, we may find that we are standing on familiar ground
but we are no longer following the same script.
Rest is not nothing.
Sometimes rest is part of the rewriting. 🌀📜
