We're Building "THE SOURCE."
I've shown you pieces of what we're building with GTASites.
But I haven't really explained what I want this thing to become.
Not another link directory.
Not another page full of resources somebody added six months ago and forgot about.
Not another community where 5 people contribute everything while 500 people consume it.
I want to build something different.
THE SOURCE.
A living collection of useful GTA information, links, files, tools, documents, resources, discoveries and knowledge that gets better because the people using it help build it.
The basic principle is simple:
You find value here.
You bring value here.
The Source grows.
That might mean discovering a useful website nobody has submitted yet.
Finding a GTA VI creator resource.
Contributing a legitimate file, document, guide, template or tool that we're permitted to distribute.
Correcting bad information.
Updating something outdated.
Organizing a collection.
Verifying a resource.
Finding something the community has been hunting for.
Or being the FIRST PERSON to bring something valuable into the network.
And contribution should matter.
I don't want everybody treated exactly the same.
Someone who helps build a phenomenal resource library should have advantages that someone who only consumes it doesn't have.
That could eventually mean:
Access.
Credits.
Priority.
Recognition.
Rewards.
Resources.
Capabilities.
We're experimenting with contribution ratios, resource values, reputation, First Finder status, bounties and other mechanics that make building the library part of using the library.
Think about what happens when hundreds, eventually thousands, of people are all looking for things...
...and every worthwhile discovery has somewhere permanent to go.
One person finds something.
Another verifies it.
Another improves the description.
Another discovers something related.
Another fills a missing category.
Another contributes something nobody else had.
And instead of all that intelligence disappearing into timelines, Discord conversations, random browser bookmarks and forgotten posts...
it accumulates.
That's the part I'm obsessed with.
Accumulated community intelligence.
And GTA6Sites is where we're starting to build it.
Some of you are going to understand what we're doing with this almost immediately.
For everybody else...
You'll understand once you start using it. 😁
FIND IT.
CONTRIBUTE IT.
BUILD THE SOURCE.
We're still very early.
Which means the people helping construct THE SOURCE right now have an opportunity that won't exist in quite the same way once it's already built.
