Stop Comparing Your Chapter to Someone Else's
Pay careful attention to your own work...” — Galatians 6:4 (NLT)
Sis, comparison is one of the quickest ways to make yourself feel like an imposter.
You were feeling good about your progress until you saw what somebody else was doing.
Her business is growing.
She's getting speaking engagements.
She's receiving recognition.
She's doing something you've been dreaming about for years.
And suddenly, what you were once proud of doesn't seem like enough.
But here's the problem: You're comparing your behind-the-scenes journey to somebody else's public accomplishments.
You don't know what she sacrificed, how many times she failed, or how long she prayed before reaching that point.
God did not create you to become a duplicate of another woman.
He gave you your own experiences, gifts, testimony, and assignment.
Celebrate her without discrediting yourself.
There's room for both of you to grow.
Today's Truth: Her success does not diminish my purpose.
Reflection Questions:
Who do I find myself comparing my progress to?
How has comparison affected my confidence?
What progress have I overlooked because I was focused on someone else?
Today's Prayer:
Father, remove jealousy, insecurity, and comparison from my heart. Teach me to celebrate other women without questioning my own worth. Help me recognize the beauty of the journey You have designed specifically for me. Remind me that I am not behind simply because someone else appears to be ahead. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Faith in Action: Celebrate another woman's accomplishment today. Then write down three accomplishments of your own that deserve recognition.
