One-Eyed Jack
“One-Eyed Jack” is a slow, heavy swamp-rock blues built around a mysterious, intimidating man who lives deep in the Louisiana bayou. Feared by the locals and rarely seen in town, Jack appears almost monstrous—until a stranger discovers the real source of his sorrow. Jack’s beloved alligator, whom he rescued as a young animal, has died. Their unlikely bond is revealed through simple, tender memories of a life shared in a remote shack. After finishing a bottle of whiskey, Jack disappears into the night, leaving behind only rumors and the distant sound of a shotgun carried on the wind. Dark, atmospheric, and unexpectedly heartbreaking.
