SUPPORT YOUR SPOUSE'S DREAMS

Good morning,

Marriage brings two lives together, but it does not erase the individual gifts, interests, and aspirations of either partner.

Your spouse may dream of further education, starting a business, developing a ministry, learning a new skill, or pursuing a career opportunity.

Supporting that dream does not mean agreeing to every idea without discussion. It means taking your spouse's aspirations seriously, asking thoughtful questions, and exploring how those dreams can fit into your shared responsibilities.

For example, if your wife wants to pursue further education, you can discuss finances, childcare, and time management together. If your husband hopes to establish a business, you can help him evaluate the plan while being honest about the risks.

Support is not merely saying, "I believe in you." It is also asking, "How can we work together to make this possible?"

Ask your spouse:

"What is one dream or goal you would like to make progress on, and how can I support you?"

Listen without immediately dismissing the idea because it seems difficult.
