A VALUABLE LESSON
So I'll make this short as possible. I learned a incredibly valuable lesson from my autistic grandson as he was participating in the Special Olympics track-and-field event, the 50m dash- So as he was preparing to run his race, my daughter and I were trying to pomp him up, get him excited about winning the race. So we departed to the stands to watch him run. When the gun shot started the race, our grandson started in his usual steady unbothered disposition. When the race was over, he came in Dead last! Maybe I was frustrated, i left to put some things in our car only to return to an excited daughter telling me to hurry up and come, my grandson. had won the race! How is this possible i asked her. She replied, all of the other competitors in his race had stepped out of their lane, and therefore we're disqualified Dirk, our grandson was the only one who remained in his lane the entire race, therefore making him the winner of the 50m race! The valuable lesson He taught me that day was never be distracted by what's going around you. Stay in your lane and finish at your pace. GREAT THINGS CAN HAPPEN FOR YOU. what was one of your greatest learning moments?
