Parents are expected to participate in life-changing assessments, meetings and court proceedings—often without being properly told what their rights are, what professionals are required to do or how to challenge something that is wrong.

Everything is explained in plain language from a parent’s perspective and informed by law, guidance and lived experience.
Community content provides general legal information and education, not individual legal advice. Members must protect children’s privacy and must not share identifying information or confidential family-court documents.
