Facilitate Freedom
Players need to be free to explore the game. They need to have chances to see what works and what doesn’t work. And most importantly, they need to be free of judgement from the very people who are supposed to be creating a safe playing environment for them.
If you are a parent, coach or both, think about whether or not you are creating this space for them.
Tip: If you are yelling at them from the sidelines the whole game…they do not feel safe to experience the game :)
