Standard I failed to enforce:
As someone who works long hours on film shoots, I'd always succumb to the temptations of less-than-healthy set food and use my unpredictable schedule as an excuse for not showing up to the gym. Whenever I had off days, I'd go 100%. But as soon as certainty went out the window, so too did my standards for myself.
Where I drifted:
God help me if I fumbled on a good day, as it would devolve into an endless mental cycle of "this week's a bust, next Monday is my REAL starting point". I'd just keep digging myself deeper into a hole as opposed to brushing off my missteps and getting back on track.
What "locked in" looks like now:
Zero excuses. Getting all my workouts in, whether early morning or dead of night, and always having protein-rich meals prepped to plop in a bag and take to work. I went from overweight to skinny-fat, so there's no defense for not being able to go from skinny-fat to toned to shredded.
