This project is a really great opportunity to gain practical knowledge from someone who is already working in the cybersecurity field. Instead of just studying theory, you get to investigate real-world scenarios and work on the same types of tasks that SOC analysts actually deal with. It’s a great way to build hands-on experience, understand how things work in a real SOC environment, and become more confident with practical cybersecurity skills.

It is really great platform. Dalan is excellent teacher. BEC investigations are very interesting. Before SOC SIM, I did not have any clue about BEC and Azure logs. Now I can handle all sorts of BEC investigations in microsoft environments. Dalan is very helpful and always available for one to one online meetings.

Before joining SOCsim, I had a decent understanding of digital forensics through CTFs but I feel like I lack the real-world understanding. The best thing about SOCsim is that I am able to get comfortable using industry-standard toolings and methodologies. Thanks to Dalan who has been a great mentor by providing me with feedback about my methodologies and how I should approach my career. I would highly recommend this course to anyone that is passionate about DFIR/SOC.

I joined SOCsim for hands-on experience with real-world SOC tools. Under Dalan’s mentorship, I’ve learned Microsoft Sentinel and Defender while investigating realistic incidents, including BEC cases, digital forensics, evidence analysis, and timeline building.
