👑 — DIFFERENT DOESN’T ALWAYS MEAN WRONG
One of the hardest parts of co-parenting?
Your child may have two very different homes.
Different routines.
Different rules.
Different bedtimes.
Different foods.
Different ways of doing things.
And sometimes your first thought is:
“Why don’t they do it MY way?” 😂
But here’s the thing:
Different doesn’t automatically mean wrong.
Unless something is genuinely unsafe or violates an established parenting agreement, your co-parent may do some things differently than you would.
And that’s okay.
Your child can learn that different homes have different expectations—and still feel safe, loved, and secure in both.
Instead of asking:
“Why don’t they do things like I do?”
Try asking:
“Is this actually harming my child, or is it simply different?”
That little distinction can save you a LOT of unnecessary conflict.
👑 Today’s challenge:
Think of one thing your co-parent does differently than you.
Ask yourself:
Is this something I truly need to address… or something I can let be different?
👇 Be honest—what’s one “different” parenting choice you’ve had to learn to let go of?
