Unexpected Interview Questions
Be prepared to be asked unusual questions. I have been asked to tell a joke at a fellowship interview. During a residency interview, I was asked what animal I would like to be. Other ones that people get: What kitchen appliance would you like to be? What superpower would you like to have? What three items would you take to a deserted island? You can't prepare entirely, but have an answer and a reason with a character trait that tells something about your character. For example, "I would like to be microwave because I like to solve problems quickly." quickly. There are no correct answers to ridiculous questions. They just want to learn about how quickly you think and what your values are. When I said that I would like to be a bird, the doctor asked me to choose a specific bird!
