Practiced what I preached
Hello, long time no talk. I went on a hiatus for some months. Sometimes life can cause shifts to your direction. Everything you knew before is all of the sudden lost, shadows cast over what was once meaningful and makes you question, if you are really on the right track.
I've been there recently. I have been diagnosed with a small low-grade glioma. My brain became fearful, disguised as urgency. I have a lot of time, but somehow it felt like I needed to do everything I possibly could before time runs up. We aren't promised tomorrow and we never were, even in good health. I grew cynical about life for a short time. "Who cares, we are only going to die anyway."
I avoided reflection, and anything that had to do with thinking about life, scared of things I made up in my head. I felt depression in ways I had never felt before
...On the other side of this, after a few months, I made peace with myself, I've loved harder, listened longer, chose kindness. I've accepted all the parts of me, even the parts I had always hated. I've accepted my debt, I've accepted my life as it is, I've accepted and forgave people I never thought I could. I was drawn back into the Intention Project recently.
My intentions changed, and that is okay. You are never supposed to stay the same and sometimes stepping away to take care of yourself brings clarity out of confusion. I look forward to continuing my journey with the intention project. -Thank you for being part of this.
