I asked for a complementary glamping trip and they said yes. 🙌🏽

I’ve been a paying guest at Walden Retreats multiple times. I love the place.

So a few days ago I decided to stop just being a customer and show up as what I actually am — someone with a platform, a real audience, and something valuable to offer. I wrote them an email, named what I could bring to the table, and asked for two complimentary nights in exchange for content.

A few days later, their marketing manager responded and said yes.

This is what happens when you stop sitting on your leverage. Your platform is an asset right now, at whatever size it is.

The only question is whether you’re treating it like one.
