TRT kills fertility?

So I know that we can never really know 100% if someone will be able to have kids or not after being on trt, but I’d love to hear actual experiences of people on both sides of this:

do any of you have taken trt and now regret it because you want kids but aren’t able to?
Do any of you take trt and have been taking it for some time, yet had no problem having kids?

I have one kid now, my wife and I want at least one more, the thing is my enclomiphene isn’t really working for me anymore, I am 39 years old, I don’t feel in the gutter but I also don’t feel optimized, and I am in a point in my life where I need to be 100% for me and my family, so I am considering making the switch to trt sooner than later, so just trying to get some opinions and advice from anyone who’s been there.

I know hcg can help keep the nuts on, but I also heard it can increase chances of side effects.
