Hello, to whom finds this group. This group will be solely dedicated to help young Christians get rid of their internet addictions (and other things) through our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Let me first tell you a little about my life;
I was raised agnostic. My father left my brother and me when i was 3 due to his drug addiction. I was raised by a single mother my whole life and from a young age i was troubled. I caused a lot of mayhem in my life and i was 'unruly'. I had no father to answer to, i had no real consequences for my actions. Long story short, i am now 30 years old and i came to know the Lord 1 year ago. I've since been able to overcome my childhood traumas and i started to feel like a 'man' for the first time in my life. Prior to this i behaved like a man-child.
Here some things i was:
- I was an emotional baby, i couldn't handle some small conflict without behaving like a child
- I indulged in junk food, i gained a lot of weight
- I watched porn every day. I've tried to quit 100x, i would quit for 1-2 months then relapse and come back stronger (like you)
- I watched 6-8 hours of YouTube per day.
- I would spend so much time on entertainment platforms like Instagram, Reddit, Facebook and other areas.
Here are also some horrible things i started to get into;
❌ The whole 'jews control the world' conspiracy theory.
I whole heartedly believe now that this whole thing is to make you feel weak. There's simply nothing we can do to change this.
❌ The 'hustler mindset' that i MUST grind every single day in order to feel 'adequate'
This is actually a pretty scary mindset to have. YES, make money to support your family and do your God given duties, however to believe you must obtain a 'supercar' in order to feel satisfied is actually incredibly toxic. Should you aspire to have a 'supercar'? Sure.... but it should NOT be your life's mission. You should be able to feel content with what you have, not feel bitter with what you don't have.
❌ Watching red-pill content
This is probably the biggest one that actually fills our hearts with Hate... now there's absolutely no denial that there's truth behind red-pill, but i believe this 'truth' was written from a bitter lens.
If you feel that you want to change, all glory to you, maybe God made you find this somehow and he wants you to change. I will dedicate this group God's word.
