Not every automation needs AI.
I build automation systems, and one thing I’ve learned is that adding AI doesn’t automatically make a workflow better.
If a lead submits a form → create the contact → assign the opportunity → send a reminder…
That doesn’t need AI. It needs reliable automation.
AI becomes useful when the system actually needs to understand something: classify an inquiry, summarize a conversation, extract information, personalize a response, or decide where something should go.
Sometimes the smartest AI system is the one that knows where not to use AI.
Where have you found AI genuinely improved an automation instead of just making it more complicated?
