Yesterday, we talked about giving October a mission.
Not ten vague goals.
One meaningful change.
One outcome that should be true by the end of the month that is not true today.
Now comes the part that decides whether that mission survives contact with the week:
What happens first?
Because Monday is where good intentions usually get mugged by reality.
The inbox opens.
The meetings start.
Other people’s priorities show up.
The easy work starts calling.
The urgent work tries to become the important work.
And the mission gets pushed to “later.”
That is why Sunday matters.
Not as a productivity ritual.
As a decision point.
Before Monday starts, decide:
What is the one action that matters most this week?
What evidence would prove I moved the October mission forward?
What task am I most likely to avoid?
What needs to happen early before the week gets loud?
What should I protect on the calendar?
What can wait?
That is the difference between entering the week with intention and entering it reactively.
If your October mission is career growth, maybe the first move is identifying the exact next-level role and its requirements.
If the mission is leadership, maybe the first move is delegating one meaningful responsibility with clear decision rights.
If the mission is business growth, maybe the first move is talking to actual prospects instead of polishing the plan again.
If the mission is building capability, maybe the first move is creating one real-world rep.
If the mission is becoming more visible, maybe the first move is documenting one proof point and communicating it clearly.
The whole month does not need to happen Monday.
But the first meaningful action probably should not wait until Friday either.
So tonight, make one decision:
What gets protected first?
Today’s question:
What is the one action you are protecting this week because it directly moves your October mission forward?
Drop it below.
One mission.
One protected action.
One clean start to the week.
