Have a disability?
Keep this in mind when completing an application.
- The disability question on most job applications is voluntary.
- Applicants may select ““I don’t wish to answer.”
- This information is generally kept separate from the application and is normally not be seen by the hiring decision-maker.
- Answering “Yes” does not automatically request an accommodation; the applicant must request one separately.
- Applicants can request a reasonable accommodation later, even if they chose not to disclose their disability on the application.
