I reverse engineered TradingView, and you can have it for free
So there's a guy on X who went absolutely viral for reverse engineering TradingView. He used something called REA (reverse engineer anything) on it.
So I did it as well.
I felt there were some security issues with their version, so I rebuilt it myself from scratch using the same method. Then I put it on steroids.
It runs on your own computer, and you get:
- Up to 16 charts on one screen, any timeframe you want
- 59 indicators per chart, no cap
- Drawing tools, alerts with webhooks and bar replay
- A strategy tester, screener, heatmap, paper trading and an economic calendar
The steroids part: I built the same kinds of quant checks I run on my own strategies into the strategy tester. Walk-forward, overfitting, deflated Sharpe, cost stress and Monte Carlo. They tell you whether a backtest was luck before you trust it.
It's one copy and paste prompt. About a minute to set up on Claude Code, about six on Codex.
If you build a strategy you think is good, enter it in our $500 monthly strategy competition.
