I've never used YouTube Studio to go Live. @Jenny Sharratt is the expert there. ____________ NOTE: My pointers below are how I prep using Streamyard.com. I do it in advance, either an hour or days before...typically same day. ____________ You can set your live ahead of time if using streaming software. You've done lives with Alexa Zoom Calls and with us in here, very similar yet different- You're now in Charge of The Show😻 ____________ Suggestions: You can do a test run and let viewers know that's what you're doing. I've seen RobtheMaritimer do this. ____________ Prep: - Announce Live in advance on Post on YouTube, here or wherever your community is as @Mouldi Nouri states - Schedule a set day & time - you can experiment with this and change & reannounce - Create Title - Create Bullet points to discuss - Create Thumbnail - Description - Tags or add during SEO - (ask ChatGPT or Claude to help with the above) Before Going Live:....You Know all this.😻😅 - test audio - computer or external mic - volume & sound - check the camera - clean lenses (I forget many times) - Pre-set your lighting - - If you'll share a screen, have the browser with websites ready - - Have a soothing Candle scent or diffuser to calm or relax (lavender or chamomile) near you....i use this sometimes to relax or to energize (lemon. Mint, orange scents) _____________ Go Live: You know all this too!😻 You've done presentations, Zoom Calls, etc. ( I watch replay of your Descript Live..it was great.) - Relax & take deep breaths if nervous - BE YOURSELF ...LIKE CHATTING WITH A FRIEND - Remember...No Perfectionism...You can Look into the camera, read notes, move your head & hands (if you talk with your hands😉😃) be natural - - Greet viewers as they join or as soon as you see them - Respond to comments - Engage with viewers comments - It's OK to make mistake, stumble on words, look at your notes.....we all mess up, even experts do....chuckle, laugh make it fun - If you have a glitch like I've had, let them know and ask for patience (you leave this in or edit out after live is processed. (Note: If you edit a live on YouTube Studio, You'll lose the Live Chat)
