This Hit My Spirit
This was actually my first time calling in for the Walk and Talk. The conversation was about REST and GRACE, which really spoke to me. It’s something I’ve been intentionally working on this past week, hearing it today, truly HIT MY SPIRIT. I’m glad joined and got to hear what was shared.

You need rest. It's refreshing when you get it.
Book release!!
I'm the only odd man out, I couldn't publish on Amazon cause my bank account is in unsupported country. I'm from Uganda and I currently work is saudi Arabia as a housekeeper, nanny and everything concerning a household. But during my little self time, I thought about how far I have come, from teenager pregnancy, loss of a child, another pregnancy, being abandoned, rejected, and my life experiences in relationships, low- self-esteem until finding my worth that led to the birth of this book. From Ugly to Unbowed is more than a story—it is my journey through teenager pregnancy, rejection, poverty, heartbreak, single motherhood, shame, loneliness, and the painful experiences that can make a person question their worth. It is the story of a woman who was wounded by life but refused to let her wounds become the definition of her identity. For years, I carried the weight of words and experiences of being told I was not beautiful enough, not worthy enough, not loved enough, and not enough. I knew what it meant to be rejected. I knew hunger. I knew disappointment. I knew what it felt like to watch dreams fade and to wonder whether life would ever become better. But somewhere beneath my pain, there was strength I had not yet discovered. This book is about that discovery. It is about learning that being rejected does not make you rejectable. Being poor does not make you worthless. Being broken does not mean you cannot be rebuilt. And the way people treat you does not determine the value you carry within you. Through raw memories, difficult lessons, moments of vulnerability, and stories of survival, I opened the pages of my life—not to seek pity, but to show what is possible when a wounded woman decides to rise. From Ugly to Unbowed is for the woman who has cried in silence. It is for the woman who has been made to feel small. It is for the woman who has lost herself trying to be enough for others. It is for anyone who has ever wondered whether their past has the power to destroy their future.

Thank You Jeretta Turner
Though I haven't received my book, "My Light" @Monica Tate I'm sure I will receive tomorrow or after tomorrow. I want to thank you, so that you don't question whether I received or not. @Tony Gaskins always says you get attacked the most where you're trying to improve. My finances has been attacked the most this month with my father being in and out the hospital. I'm late paying my subscription so I maybe off the community for a couple of week, two or three. I will be back when I sort out my subscription. It's been wonderful being here and connecting with y"all. This is not a good bye cause I'm going to be working on my October challenge as well. Meanwhile you can get a copy of my book " From Ugly to Unbowed" using the link below. https://selar.com/4o42x53i81 Thank you 🙏
Rest
On thursday I requested my boss if i could go out and take rest since I work live-in. I was feeling so stressed and tired. Sometimes the kids drive me absolutely nuts and when I'm stressed, I get angry so easily. It's like my patience runs out and I need a break. So, when I asked, she said she had a guest on Friday. I told her I will wait and leave on Saturday. She never had a guest coming. She just wanted me to stay yet I was exhausted. On Saturday, I told her I was going to see my friends and take rest. She got upset, but I left anyway. I needed a break to be able to function well with kids. I now feel energised and refreshed. Learn to respond to your body and take a rest. Your mental health matters. Your life matters. Your health matters. As someone who works from Monday to Monday, I always rest for a break for two days once a month. My boss doesn't like it, but I know I need it and deserve.
Cleaning contacts list
How often do you clean your contacts? Yesterday, I was going through my WhatsApp contact and I saw all these contacts of people I nolonger talk too. Some where just random people I met somewhere and shared contacts. Their only message is hi since 2022. I looked through and asked myself supposing I have a problem, who can I contact and they will respond positively, I realised I have like two people only while some people have none. So, I cleaned my contacts and remained with few people. I feel like I should do it more often.
