September AI Agency Report: What’s Actually Selling
Hey everyone, If you want to operate a successful AI Agency, three questions matter more than anything else: What should you sell? Who should you sell it to? And what are businesses actually willing to pay for? Our September AI Agency Report is designed to help answer those questions. We analysed data from more than 800 active AI agency owners inside the Accelerator to see what is actually selling, where demand is coming from, and how agencies are structuring their offers right now. Use it to identify promising markets, sharpen your offer, and see where agencies are generating revenue from both one-off projects and ongoing work. We’ll be publishing this report every month going forward. Let’s get into what happened in September. 1. Project pricing We’ll start with what businesses paid for the projects reported. The average disclosed project price was $10,800 USD, with prices ranging from $3,000 to $20,000 USD. (refer to image 1) The priced work included paid diagnostics, assessments followed by custom builds, and a healthcare system for searching and drafting across regulatory documents. To understand those projects better, let’s look at the businesses buying them. 2. Client industries The reported clients came from several industries, with professional services making up the largest named group. Professional services accounted for 33.3% of entries with a stated industry. (refer to image 2) Professional-services work included legal case admin, accounting workflows and government-contract monitoring. Healthcare projects covered regulatory-document search and funnel diagnostics. Across these industries, the work addressed a range of business tasks. 3. Services being sold Here’s what agency owners built, assessed or delivered for those businesses. The reported work covered six main areas: - Document search and drafting: regulatory information, contracts and proposals. - Workflow automation: legal case admin and accounting processes. - Data assistants: production-data queries and meeting preparation. - Custom software: booking platforms, CRM systems and payments. - Diagnostics and training: business assessments and staff training. - Marketing systems: lead generation and customer testimonials.

Appreciate this JB! Reinforces warm outreach & existing connections!
Lost my first close today 😅 Lesson learned:
Results call with a local locksmith. Found his real problem on the diagnostic: he does $4–5K commercial door jobs, but nobody knows he does them. The call went great. He said one more door job a week would be “life changing,” and he was at an 8–9/10 before the price. Then I showed the price. He said it was “decently priced,” and still said no. Why? He didn’t have the cash, and he thought the diagnostic was free help. He literally thought I was doing it for school 💀 That’s on me. I never told him a paid option was coming, and I never asked about budget. From now on: on the booking call, I say it’s free but that I’ll show paid options after, and I ask if they’d be open to investing if we fix it. He wants to circle back after his next big job, so it’s a “not yet.” How do you all bring up price early without scaring people off?

@Lakshya Pandey great advice bro. i have 2 audit/diagnostic calls coming up this week, and during these calls i will see if theyre open to investing in a fix. both have identified pain points, and it seems they want to fix them, so more than likely yes.

@Junior Martin Great advice sir!
The World Works In Strange Ways.
Here I am, building inside a hospital and wiring up boxes, Listening to videos about “If you align yourself properly and take the necessary actions, you will attract money.” & cold calls with businesses to try and book a discovery call. Funnily enough, I open Skool, and see a once in a lifetime opportunity right infront of me. A 1-month scholarship for the accelerator program, that I cannot even contain my excitement for, here at work. If you make a plan, and take action, you’d be surprised with what could follow. I am more than excited & thankful to begin working with Morningside… Let’s get it.

Wow, I am at work and I am unable to contain my excitement. Let’s get it 💪
I went to 6 local businesses and pitched an actual service for the FIRST time in my life.
This taught me a lot. I went into yesterday hoping to get a booking, but I didn’t. Regardless, I walked into 6 businesses, talked to the owners, pitched my offer, and pushed through the nerves. By the 6th conversation, my confidence and speaking skills had improved significantly. No booking this time, but I gained experience—and that’s a win. 💪

@Lakshya Pandey Yeah ikr lol.Youre right though, this has opened up more opportunities, so when we call i’ll mention about referring me to her employer. The dashboard has connection settings (for now, instagram & calendar.), adjustability with her service/pricing/buffer times, appointment info, etc. It shows reoccuring clients + the option to manually add a client. It’s pretty cool, the first build I’ve seen. But yes a case study + testimonial would be very helpful, she is a recent graduate from nail school and could refer me to many of her peers, needing similar services… 👀👍
