Hi everyone, I’m looking for a bit of advice with my eBay account and was hoping someone here might have been in a similar situation. My account is currently classed as Below Standard because of some late orders from over a year ago when I previously used the account. I’ve recently started selling again and have now had 2–3 orders that were dispatched and delivered on time, but my account is still showing as Below Standard. The problem I’m having is that I’m getting virtually no sales at all. I’ve tried reducing prices, running discounts and using coupon codes, but because the account is Below Standard, eBay won’t let me use Promoted Listings at the moment. I’m trying to get the account back on track and build up some positive selling history, but it feels like a bit of a catch-22 when I need more successful orders to improve the account, but I’m struggling to get any sales in the first place. Has anyone dealt with this before? Is there anything you did that helped improve your sales while you were Below Standard, or any advice on the quickest/best way to get the account back to Above Standard? Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks!

Morning all! Sorry I couldn’t jump on yesterday morning, but I listened back to the recording this morning. Once again, amazing value — thank you to everyone for sharing and providing your insights. One thing I really took from the recording is how some of the things we think have no value can actually have crazy value — £200 for Barbie DVDs! 🤯 As a trial, I’ve started offering an additional service alongside our Cash for Clothes collections. When we collect clothes, we’ll now also take books and comics, CDs, DVDS, videos, soft toys, video games, board games, toys and figures. I’m offering a very small amount for these items — around 5p–10p per kilo — and I’ll assess how it’s going after a couple of weeks. Let’s see how many golden nuggets I can find in there! 💎 I’ve made it clear that we’ll only offer this service when we’re collecting clothes at the same time, so I’m not driving out just to collect a load of toys or books. I’ll keep you all updated on how it goes. Hopefully, this post gives a few other people some ideas too. Have a great week, all! A A RON

Hey All, the weekend is nearly all, Quick question how long did it take your Ebay store to start to get momentum/sales? I have approximately 90 listed at the moment, I was always Whatnot and Vinted so have a good feel for that, but Ebay seems to be very very slow at the moment, is this normal for new stores whilst building stock up? Thanks in advance
