Ruth reminds me that sometimes we have to be willing to glean the fields before we ever sit at the table. Right now, I feel a little like Ruth at work—picking up what’s left behind, doing the work that may feel small or unnoticed, gathering the “crumbs” from the field. But Ruth stayed faithful. She showed up, worked hard, remained loyal, and trusted God without knowing what the outcome would be. She didn’t know Boaz was waiting for her in that field. And maybe that’s the point. Greatness is often built in the seasons when we’re doing the work without knowing if or when we’ll see the reward. I’m willing to put in the work now, even when I can’t see the harvest yet, because I have faith that God sees every seed I’m planting. I may be gleaning today, but I believe there will come a time when I get to eat the fruit of what I faithfully planted. 🙏🏼
