Drilled those during pre game! I'm very happy with the day from a growth standpoint. I saw the ball significantly better tonight, was on time, and made much better swing decisions compared to what I have been. My first two AB's were positive for me. Had a flare out and line out with good launch, true spin, just not hit hard enough and too close to the center fielder. My 3rd AB I think I weakly grounded into a DP. The first AB of the night where I thought my poor swing decisions had caused me the at bat. My fourth AB I went down 0-1 on pitch clock violation but I had a different thought. I knew the pitcher was primarily fastball/slider mix. He was sitting mid 90s and already ahead in the count so I got ready for a fastball and tried to pull it into the RCF gap and ended up hitting one of the most pure no doubt homers I've ever hit in my career. On time, clear plan of attack, simple thought, and a bit of growing confidence from my previous at bats. My fourth at bat I continued to see the ball well but took pitches a little too close and got down to two strikes. Then, I abandoned my 2 strike plan that I've had since high school and as a result I chased a changeup that bounced at the cut in front of the plate. Overall, I'm pleased with the night. I'm still struggling but taking steps in the right direction for sure. Gonna keep drilling those ones you sent me and working to find the cues that get me back there.
