I grew my personal brand here on LinkedIn from 0-45K in just a few years:
- Engaging on the platform as much as I can every single day non negotiable. The more you're in front of people, the more people remember you. - Sticking to my brand voice, identity, and what makes me, ME! You're building your personal brand, so you have to be upfront and personal about it. This is a copy/paste game where you just try to go viral every day. Do your thing. - Optimizing my front end as much as my back end. Meaning my website, my landing pages, my LinkedIn profile, my emails, anything that has my name on it, it's optimized. (always changing as well). - Understanding that not every day is going to be a good day on LinkedIn. Many of people posts getting less than 1K impressions are still outperforming viral content elsewhere. Focus on the overall plot! - Writing about things I am actually interested in, that are about myself, that are built by me, you name it. If it's attatched to me, I talk about it. Now go put in the effort. Had to share a photo of my dog and I just chiling working on some DIYs 👀

@Alex Colhoun I am used to people asking me for advice on their career but currently my community has almost no one from the 9-5 space (my ICP).
So Instagram just changed their logo, what we thinking?
W or L? I hope LinkedIn doesn't change, we like the logo 😂

1. Profile Optimization, this gives people a clear reason to follow you, trust you, and take the next step. 2. Organic content, this gets you seen, builds authority, and gives your audience a reason to keep coming back. 3. LinkedIn Lives, this builds trust fast because people can hear you, see you, and get your thoughts in real time. 4. LinkedIn Newsletter, this keeps attention longer and helps you build a stronger connection with people who want more depth. 5. Outbound/Inbound Connections, this turns your messaging into sales convos and qualified client opps. I’m breaking it all down in my masterclass this Friday. Go to https://lnkd.in/edzwAaQ3 and RSVP, we have 30 total slots.

Sounds like a plan. We will see if my work allows.
What do you guys think of the new LinkedIn feature "AI Slop"?
Curious what you guys think of the new "Seems like AI Slop" report button? Good idea? Or could lead to trouble?

@Alex Colhoun me too
Why you should be using Behind the Scenes (BTS) on LinkedIn ⬇️
I’ve been using behind the scenes content and storytelling on LinkedIn for the last 3 months, here's what it's showing me: - I talk about what I’m building as I’m building it. People connect faster when they can see the process, the mess, the decisions, and the lessons in real time. - I turn all of my business items into sharable snippets on LinkedIn. Sales calls, content wins, posts that do terrible, client wins, all of it can become content with human context. - I tie the stories to my brand. Random life updates do very little for me. Behind the scenes works best when it links back to WHAT I do, how I think, and WHY I do it. - I use my data to guide me. In the last 3 months, the posts that pull people in have clear stories, clear points, and a clear link back to my work. Simple is BETTER. I don't use any fancy angle to carry my brand here on LinkedIn. People want to feel the person behind the business (and the brand). So, show the process. Then, tell the story. And stay active on LinkedIn as you would at any other job, and you'll see massive progress. Alex
