YouTube has officially announced major changes to the YouTube Partner Program (YPP) requirements starting February 1, 2027. This is the biggest shift in years, and it directly affects creators who haven’t reached monetization yet. 🚨 What’s Changing? Beginning Feb 2027, new creators will need: - 1,000 subscribers (unchanged) - 8,000 public watch hours in the last 12 months (previously 4,000) OR - 20 million Shorts views in 90 days (previously 10 million) This means the bar to get monetized is doubling. ✨ Good News If you reach monetization before Feb 1, 2027, you’ll be grandfathered in under the old requirements.
