Crazy news
Last day on vacation. I will be back posting and scheduling the next free call when I’m back. In the meantime, crazy news! I’m now 100 percent in on my business. I’m no longer the Vice President of Marketing at Techstars. No more side hustling. No more working every waking minute. I’ve officially left corporate forever! Aaaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!! Just CEO Andrea here. 🎉🎉🎉 I’m so excited!

Question
Hi please can someone give me some tips to convince a potential client after he showed any interest for a service?

Don’t try to “convince” them. Find out what made them interested in the first place. Ask questions about what they’re trying to solve, what they’ve already tried, and what’s stopping them from getting the result they want. Then show them specifically how your service helps close that gap. The more relevant your offer feels to their actual problem, the less convincing you’ll need to do.
Anyone interested in a free LinkedIn webinar?
I'm speaking at an organization this Friday on LinkedIn (building your brand and thought leadership on that platform). As I'm creating the deck for it, I thought maybe you guys would get something out of this as well. If you are interested, I can add a free webinar call on the calendar. Let me know please. Yes or no 😀

LinkedIn free training went well / you get one next
My webinar for CMX went well. Had some lovely thank yous and comments how helpful it was. I was thinking about doing a free training here for you next week Thursday at 10 AM MT.

skool or no skool?
Hey everyone! I am trying to make a decision, but I don't feel like I have definitive data in order to make a best decision. I know the value of having a community and hosting my freebie in a skool group would definitely help with building an email list and a community at the same time. And I like the idea of having a ready source of comments to be able to reply to and even use it to build out content as I do best in response. However, I have a few concerns: 1. In my previous business, I had a Facebook group, and it took until you got to like 400+ people for anybody to really say anything. The constant posting and lives to crickets, even though I knew it was part of the process (and I have had several people say how helpful it was and they watched them all even when I didn't know), was such a struggle mentally and emotionally. I'm not really keen on the idea of doing that again. 2. I know that one to one and small groups are what I've always been good with, so worry about keeping up the energy in perpetuity with a membership/ free group. 3. I'm a high ticket coach and strategist, I do plan on having a low ticket offer, but it was more one offs in my head, so not sure about what I would even do for a premium that would still guide people to my high ticket services or if my ideal client even does these groups or not... I also love groups. I love being in groups and communities, and I'm just trying to work out in my brain if this is a direction I should go. I'm just looking for more input and data, really, and if we could help, that would be great.

I’m so new to skool that it’s hard to say. My clients that are in my membership are here but since I give them advice via our 1-1 calls and emails, they don’t post much here. So for my set up it’s not needed. Since I started this business, I’ve had 37 clients and only 2 came from my Skool (I have 166 free skool members). But list building is a must for you and me and the type of company we have. So if you do g use skool, you will have to find another way. A community is nice to have but not a must. I do believe that once you get a good number, a community can help with closing clients. Thats why I’m here. Plus I find this platform fun. If you have the budget, you could run a meta lead gen ad to a lead magnet with an “upsell” form to skool. I did that for a month and went from 40 members to 166 quicker. I will be doing that again.

@Mary Peterson Cook it’s all specific to how much money you have, how good the ad is going, ROI on the ad, etc. for my personal needs, I always start with $5 a day, once the ad is running and its going good, I add $5-$10. Highest I ever went was $500 a day.
