Question for B2C printable sellers
I am looking for advice regarding how printable sellers handle the "terms and conditions" page for your digital/printable items intended for non-business owners. Specifically, I think my challenge is most relevant to those who serve teachers or those who may frequently collaborate and share resources with others. I typically have not put my terms of use as a portion of the main product in my downloads. (I do include it in the product description.) However, especially because I have created a new activity book I will be offering in an upcoming bundle as a freebie, I feel like I should add it this time. As someone who enjoys downloading freebies (for both business and personal use), I have to say that it *is* very helpful to have them clearly listed as part of the same document. This is mostly when I'm looking as a starting point for business products, but I presume it helps others as well. My struggle is that I feel like it's off-putting for a non-business owner (we know the deal and why it's there . . . I think the general public is different). I've decided to put it at the end because I definitely don't want to start my product with the page. I'm wondering how others deal with this. How much do you include? Some examples I see are *very* intimidating. Then other products have nothing at all. Examples would be lovely. . . . For my working copy, I have just copy and pasted what I typically include at the end of my listings. I do have it under a brief "Thank you for your purchase" paragraph as well: Thank you for your purchase! I know there are many opportunities out there for activities for your child or classroom, and I truly appreciate you choosing mine. Terms of Use This product is created for your personal use only. You are welcome to use these pages for yourself, your family, or your own single classroom if you are a teacher. PLEASE DO NOT share these digital files or provide physical copies for anyone outside of your household (other than printing for your own students). No aspect of these materials may be used for commercial purposes.

That looks good to me. It sets out the rules without feeling too legal.

High pressure sales on high ticket items, telling people that they should just not tell their spouse about an investment of more than $5k.

@Amanda Renee i'm not entirely sure. I've never done a collab before, unless trading skool communities counts. I have a couple people who joined my group to give recs on things, and I do that for them. I don't have a big email list or anything like that to give to anyone.
Let’s Talk About What Went Terribly Wrong 😱
I’m about to say something you won’t hear from every business coach: I make mistakes in my business every single day. Things flop. Offers don’t sell the way I expected. Promotions fall flat. Brilliant ideas turn out to be considerably less brilliant once they meet actual human beings. Sometimes I stumble. Sometimes I fall flat on my face. And sometimes I take a running leap and belly flop HARD . . . ouch. But that’s business! 🤷‍♀️ If you’re not willing to make mistakes, look ridiculous, learn something, and try again, then you shouldn’t be running a business. There. I said it, baby. The problem is that most of what we see online is the carefully curated highlight reel. 🤩 The successful launch. 🤩 The huge income month. 🤩 The testimonial with the impressive numbers. 🤩 The strategy that worked perfectly on the first try. But you rarely hear about the offer NOBODY bought, the marketing plan that went NOWHERE, or the “genius” idea that quietly DISAPPEARED 2 weeks later. That’s why I’m SO excited to be part of Closed Door Talks, a free 5-day event where 27 digital product creators are pulling back the curtain and talking about what really happens inside our businesses. ❌ No polished case studies. ❌ No pretending we’ve cracked the code and never mess up. ❌ No hiding behind a pretty presentation and carefully rehearsed talking points. Just REAL business owners having honest conversations about what works, what doesn’t, and what we’ve learned along the way. I’ll be speaking on The Flops Panel on Monday, August 10 at 12:00 pm Eastern / 9:00 am Pacific. We’re talking about: ✅ What we tried. ✅ What failed. ✅ What we learned. ✅ And what we’d do differently now. Because sharing your mistakes doesn’t make you look incompetent. It makes you HUMAN. It helps someone else avoid the same mistake. It builds trust. It creates connection. Being a real person instead of a faceless, flawless business robot can help you make more sales too.
