The move, settling in, meeting people - I've been so focused on that I stopped reading, listening, learning. And I realized: you can't create from nowhere. You need input to have output. So I'm going back to consuming - reading, listening, having conversations that spark ideas. Filling the creative well so I have something to pour out. I walked into a bathroom and saw signs for "women & nonbinary" and "men & nonbinary." Someone thought about me. Someone considered that I exist. Someone made space for me without me having to ask or explain. It's a small sign. But it felt huge. This is what true inclusion looks like - thoughtful. Spaces that say "you belong here".
